Backstory
Once upon a time, Oracle Post was a young mining village, where the dwarves of the area worked day and night to extract precious minerals from the mountain. It was a prosperous and peaceful place, where people could come and go as they pleased. However, this peaceful existence was soon shattered when the Vashier with her demonic forces of the swept in and took control of the village. The dwarves were forced to flee or face certain death, leaving the village abandoned and in ruins.
Since then, adventurers have turned the vilage into the only safe haven within the Mountain, to those that wish to escape Vashier’s Prison Island.
- The Bell Tower still stands tall in the center of the village, its giant stone bells ringing out a warning to any who hear it to return to the Oracle Post and defend it against the demonic forces. The water around turns the tower into Hollowed Ground.
- The Broken Temple is a ruin of a temple dedicated to the gods of the mountain. It is said that the gods of the mountain have blessed this temple with magical powers, protecting the village from the forces of Vashier.
- The Abandoned Mine is an old mine that has been abandoned for years. Give a unique but dangerous rumor. Rumor has it that the mine hides a powerful artifact that could possibly help defeat Vashier. However, it is also said that the mine is inhabited by some kind of monstrous creature that has been guarding the artifact for centuries.
Intro
You see a small village nestled deep into the mountain side. The buildings are made of grey stone, with intricate carvings and symbols adorning their walls. The streets are littered with debris and the occasional carcass of a slain demonic creature. The creatures themselves are tall and muscular, some with horns, others with leathery wings. There is a bell tower standing tall in the center of the village, its giant stone bells ringing out a warning to all who venture near. Underneath it is also a small pond of water surrounding the tower. There is an old temple nestled in the mountain side, and an old abandoned mine. In the distance, you can hear the faint sounds of battle.
Characters
- The Oracle : A mysterious being who watches over the village, they are said to have the power to foretell the future and offer aid to those in need. They reside in the Broken Temple
- Holthe Blackspear: A hill dwarf from The Bürach Empire who leads the resistance against Vashier’s forces. He is determined to reclaim Oracle Post for the people of the mountain. Snake eyes
- Created a magical barier around the mine. No one can leave or enter.
- Holthe is Planning to attack the front entrance to the laboratory and creating an opening for those that would fight Vashier
- Finn Blackspear: A young hill dwarf boy who is the son of Kvothe, he is determined to help his father reclaim the village and bravely stands up to Vashier’s forces.
- Finn seeks to help his sister. The Monster in the Mine is Janwalda Blackspear. The oldest daughter of Holthe and sister to Finn. Janwalda has been suffering from lycanthropy and lost her sense. Finn believes that if the one that cursed Janwalda could be killed, thent atleast Janwalda could get her senses back. The werewolf is in the labyrinth
- Entrance to the Mine
- Gareth Elremon: A High Elf powerful shaman from Tol Leyemil in The River Kingdoms who resides in the village, he is the one that can provide powerful magical protection for the villagers. Devil Tail
- Gareth has been working on a ritual to strengthen the magical protection surrounding the village. However, he requires the heart of a demonic creature to complete the ritual. He tasks the party with hunting down a powerful demon lurking in the mountain’s caverns and retrieving its heart
- Witch Hunter Lantel Lovesong: A powerful figure of authority from The City of Morencia who is responsible for keeping the peace among the villagers and enforcing the laws of the village. Missing right eye. Glowing yellow left eye.
- Lantel believes that attacking the front is not smart. She was part of Alec’s group. They were looking for an entrance in the Labyrithn, but there was a cave in and she got split from Alec
- She is in love with Alec
- Morrigan: A female human mysterious figure who resides in the village, she is believed to have some connection to the Beast of the Mine. Missing left eye.
- Morrigan believes that the Lycanthrope that cursed Janwalda could be reasoned with. Perhaps he could be convinced to return Janwaldas senses and help in the Fight against Vashier. If she is convinced by the party that they mean no harm to the Lycanthrope, she will tell them how to find him
- Tara: A powerful gnome male wizard who resides in the village, she is in charge of protecting the village from the threats of Vashier’s forces. Fuzzy Hair golden. Missing an eye
- Tara can enchant weapons and armor. He is willing to share his knowledge if the party helps out the village.
